Purpose

Advancing IoT Technology

Technology for Everyday Life

The Internet of Things (IoT) touches your life every day. From the connected home controlled by your smartphone, to automotive smart sensors that keep you safe on the road, the IoT represents the promise of a smarter tomorrow—one that makes life easier and more efficient.

In this hackathon, students will be asked to build an IoT design using a python based Pynq development board from Xilinx. It combines the power of Raspberry PI and Arduino with the fast, parallel, and customizable logic of Xilinx FPGAs.

Specific challenge details will be presented at the start of the competition, and students will have 48 hours to complete their task. Finalists will then be asked to present their project to a panel of judges.
