1. How do I get ISE Design Suite 11.2? -Download and install 11.1 either from DVD or by downloading from http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.htm and selecting "Login to start downloading". -After properly installing ISE Design Suite 11.1, run XilinxUpdate using Start -> Programs -> Xilinx ISE Design Suite 11 -> Accessories -> "Check for updates", or from a command prompt or terminal -> XilinxUpdate. Instead of running XilinxUpdate and installing files from the internet, you can also download the Service Packs from http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.htm.
2. I have an Edition license. will I need to install both the WebPACK S6/V6 update and Foundation/Edition S6/V6 update? -Foundation/Edition S6/V6 update only contains the devices that are exclusive to Foundation/Edition. To get all devices for S6/V6, you will have to install both Foundation/Edition device updates along with WebPACK S6/V6 device updates.
3. I plan to download the Single File Downloads of the Update from http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.htm. Do I have to install in any particular order? -The only order restrictions for updating to ISE Design Suite 11.2 when using the Service Packs are to install the WebPACK S6/V6 and Foundation/Edition S6/V6 updates after installing the ISE Update. All other updates can be installed in any order as long as all updates are installed prior to running any Xilinx Application tools. For instance, you can not run EDK 11.2 with ISE 11.1.
