The 64-bit PCI LogiCORE can be used in 32-bit-only applications; however, using the core in this manner would require the use of 39 extra I/O pins. Xilinx provides a 32-bit wrapper file that will allow you to design 32-bit-only applications and not use the I/Os for the 64-bit extension signals.
