Why do I see the VCU control software fail to release memory after encoding?

This is a known issue with the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC - LogiCORE H.264/H.265 Video Codec Unit (VCU) when encoding videos over a long period of time.

2018.2 - Users can download the PetaLinux Recipes and Patch files from (Xilinx Answer 71798) to work around this issue.
2018.3 - This issue is resolved in the 2018.3 release and later versions.
