We’ve been keeping our large ribbon cutting scissors very busy as within the last week we have opened two new facilities in Armenia and India.
In a company first, we opened the doors to our first office in Armenia - an R&D site starting with 18 employees. Our CEO Victor Peng was on site for the opening of the new facility, located in the capital city of Yerevan, with honored guests including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Chosen for its strong engineering programs at local universities as well, we will continue to expand in the region and are aiming to grow to 50 employees in a year and 200 within the next three years.

Adding to this, just today, we had a grand opening of our new state-of-the-art R&D facility in Hyderabad, India—the largest corporate office outside of our U.S. headquarters. With over 1,000 employees in India, the new facility will help us reach our goal of doubling our workforce there over the next few years. Centered in the middle of a robust technology ecosystem, the new campus is supported by a large pool of hardware and software talent from some of the country’s top engineering schools, making it an ideal location to continue driving innovation across Xilinx’s hardware and software solutions.

When we entered the India market in 2006, we had a small team of 60 to start. And just as technology advances at breakneck speeds, our company has grown swiftly alongside it while our teams have continued to expand across new markets into hotbeds of innovation popping up around the world.
Xilinx has offices and partners all around the world and we’re proud to say that we’re continuing to expand our global footprint with our entrance into Armenia and growth in India. By keeping our fingers on the pulse of wherever innovation exists, we’ll continue to find amazing talent and build relationships within burgeoning technology markets, all while gaining the benefit of an expanding global perspective.
