Can Out of Band (OOB) Signaling be simulated in digital simulation? Can the effect of TXENOOB and RXSIGDET be seen in digital simulation?
Out of Band Signaling occurs when the TXP/TXN are driven to a common mode voltage indicating electrical idle for protocols such as PCI-Express and Serial ATA. This behavior cannot be accurately represented in digital simulators.
Hence, TXENOOB in digital simulation does not affect TXP/TXN; and RXSIGDET does not indicate a signal on RXP/RXN that has crossed a particular threshold voltage.
