Why do I receive a Fatal Error when simulating the MGT in ModelSim 6.1?

The problem occurs because of a change made in an optimization function in the simulator. MTI is aware of this issue and is working on a solution.

In the meantime, there are two possible ways to work around this issue:

Option 1:

In ModelSim 6.1, use the "-nopartialatomic" flag with the vsim command.

For example:

vsim -nopartialatomic -L unisim work.SAMPLE_TB 

Option 2:

Alternatively, use ModelSim 6.0x.
