When I create a new source in Project Navigator (Project -> New Source...)on a Windows platform, I am able to enter a source name that contains Asian characters.
Are Asian characters supported in source names and ports?
Project Navigator incorrectly allows you to enter Asiancharacters when typing a name for a new source. This is an issue with the underlying Microsoft and Qt libraries that are used and Xilinx isunable to restrict the character entry. If Asian characters are copied and pasted into the Name window, theyarereplaced by a "?" character.
Proceeding with the creation of a new source when usingdouble byte characters (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.) causes Project Navigator to close unexpectedly.
Names for project source files must start with a letter (A-Z, a-z), and contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) and underscores (_).
The directory path for an ISE project must contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9), dashes (-), periods (.), spaces, and underscores (_).
