When installing Xilinx Vivado Design Tools on a 32-bit Windows machine, no shortcut is being created for Vivado in the Start menu or program group.
This issue is fixed in the Vivado 2012.2 tool update (2012.2.1). See (Xilinx Answer 51756)
For Vivado 2012.2, use the 2012.2 desktop icons to launch the Vivado tool.
Alternatively, create a program group entry for the Vivado tool using the desktop icon.
To copy from your desktop, right-click the Vivado tool icon and drag it to where you want to create the Start menu or program group.
Then, release the right mouse button and select Copy.
