LogiCORE IP Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC v5.4 and earlier - Multiple pause frame requests can result in a corrupted pause quanta being output

描述

When using the Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC v5.4 and earlier, it is possible for the pause quanta in a transmitted pause frame to become corrupted when requesting back to back pause frames.

The upper 8 bits of previous pause value and lower 8 bits of the current pause value can incorrectly be sent together for the pause quanta in the same transmitted pause frame.

解决方案

This issue has been resolved in the Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC v5.5 core.

If using the v5.1, v5.2, v5.3 or v5.4 cores, the SHIM in the below ar53360_tri_mode_eth_mac_pausereq_shim.zip file can be used with the core.

See the readme file contained in ar53360_tri_mode_eth_mac_pausereq_shim.zip for information on how to instantiate and connect the SHIM.

If using the v4.6 Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC core, see (Xilinx Answer 53139)
