This Answer lists all the known issues related to SDK and iMPACT programming of QSPI in Zynq-7000 SoC.
To address all questions related to Zynq-7000 SoC, see the Zynq-7000 SoC Solution Center (Xilinx Answer 52512).
It is up to the user to identify the proper use case and apply the work-around suggested.
IMPORTANT: Always verify if you flash is included in the list of SUPPORTED devices (Xilinx Answer 50991).
NOTES:
1) Usually the work-around provided in the Xilinx Answers target Xilinx Evaluation Boards (zc702 and zc706) so minor modifications may be necessary for custom boards.
To assist in these modifications, a brief description of the Environmental Variables used by iMPACT and SDK is provided in (Xilinx Answer 59272).
2) If none of the previous use cases applies, please follow the debug steps described in (Xilinx Answer 59174).
Here the use cases of the known issue related to different versions of silicon and JTAG chain structures.
Silicon Version | Zynq boot mode | # of Zynq in the JTAG Chain
JTAG | QSPI | One | More than one
GES 7020 (1.0 Silicon) | v | v
GES 7045 (2.0 Silicon) | v | v
Production Silicon | See next Table | See next Table |
These use cases have been tested on Production Silicon. The same work-around may be required if GES samples are used.
Xilinx strongly recommend using Production Silicon on custom boards.
